H&M Launching Beauty Collection this Fall.

So if cute, trendy, affordable clothes weren’t enough…H&M is now adding a 700 piece beauty line to launch this September.  The line will include, makeup, hair care, body products and beauty tools with price points ranging from $2.99-$24.99.

Aside from their premium collection which features chic black, white and gold packaging, they will also be introducing a certified organic collection which will coincide with their current conscious collection. Formulated entirely of natural and plant-based ingredients and packaged using recycled materials.

My plans include purchasing a lot of these items which will result with my vanity looking chicer in the process. 🙂

Red Carpet Look for Weddington Way.

In celebration of award season I was inspired by Weddington Way to style my own red carpet look! Weddington Way is an online store out of San Fransisco that specializes in bridesmaids dresses. As hard as it was to choose … Continue reading

Fall Lights.

Okay so it’s now officially fall. The cool air, the pumpkin spice lattes, Canadian Thanksgiving is now over, and the leaves have all turned. I love it! What I don’t love is what comes next. Although, Winter does bring it’s own beauty…as a good friend once told me.

So with fall here and winter coming way too soon there is an urgency most people have to pile on the dark moody colors, me included! I decided I was going to fight the urge and play with some lights instead. These Joe Fresh patterned pants are one of my favorites and really work for all seasons. I love white ALWAYS and especially in the Fall. The sun still has warmth and days still feel like black may be a bit much so white brings a freshness to an outfit. I did instantly feel too bright so I gave in a little and added a forest green blazer. The perfect touch of fall color.

So when you’re dressing…try to add some lights or brights to your fall colors and feel instantly uplifted!

Grey T.

Since patterned pants have become a staple in my closet, my love for simple t shirts has increased! Black, white and grey. Perfect for combining with breezy trousers or cropped slim fits…and of course leggings. Add a statement necklace and you’re done!!

I find great t shirts at Joe Fresh, Zara and Aritzia. I find with staples and neutrals that you end up wearing over and over its worth spending a little extra on them. People probably can’t tell how much you spent on the t shirt the first or second time wearing it, but after a few wears it becomes fairly obvious of the quality. 😉 Having it last longer is always better than ending up with a stretched out pilly t shirt! So spend the extra and have that t shirt go the extra mile.

So I honestly have not bought anything at Dynamite for…well I don’t even remember the last time. Then I randomly went in there shopping for a client and was pleasantly surprised to see not only some trendy items but some pieces I had not found anywhere else! Usually stores will sort of just copy each other but I found that dynamite seemed to have their own edge. Not too mention that they are revamping most of their stores with a new look and chic new line for the fall…in stores now. I can now say I will be checking out dynamite a little more regularly for clients and myself!

La nouvelle belle.

My favorite pattern mix…florals and stripes. Loving high waisted shorts this summer and every summer. These ones are a nice length..not too short or too long. The yellow is fun and I love the look with pointy toe ankle strap heels. These shorts would also be really great with a black or white crop top. The point is to either tuck in a loosely fitted t or tank or show the waist with a crop top. I dressed up the look with a high bun and some fun but simple jewelry.

Instead of a maxi…

Summer is great for cute summer dresses and fun little skirts…but what about when it’s a bit cooler? Well that’s when people (myself included) go to the maxi skirt or dress. A nice alternative are some breezy pyjama pants! They are extremely comfortable, very breezy if the sun is out, and right on trend. They’re cool and chic and perfect to dress up or down. There’s also a variety of styles out there to suit every body type! Winners, H&M, Zara, and F21 are some stores that carry them…to name a few.

Orange you glad?

I’m in love with midi skirts! This one is especially fun in orange…orange is the new black after all. High waisted is especially flattering to lengthen legs. I added turquoise accessories… This color of orange combined with that blue has always given me a vintage vibe. The blue bobble necklace is a discontinued one from Stella & dot that I refused to sell because I have always loved it and it’s the perfect item to keep forever.
